"Speedin' Bullet 2 Heaven" - Kid Cudi

Speedin' Bullet 2 Heaven is like listening to an album made during a post apocaliptic world and this album is songs by a man that has lost all sanity and hope.

The world this project creates is incredibly hard to find anywhere else. There's this depressing, Dark and disturbing sound to this album with lyrics that are just that, Depressing, Dark and disturbing. The opening track, "Edge Of The Earth/Post Mortem Boredom" for example is like a recording of a man singing being played on an old radio after the worlds gone to shit. This whole album feels like a diary entry of an incredibly hurt and broken man who's using music as a means to survive, A way of coping. It's an incredibly personal album. It gives off this feeling of haven found something that wasn't meant to be shared to the world but rather a deeply personal bundle of music that's documenting the downfall of the creator. I kind of love this album but it is undoubtably flawed.

Songs like CONFUSED!, Fade 2 Red, Angered Kids and Fushsia Butterflies are all songs that make me bop my head around. They all have an angry sound to it like there's an immense amount of bitterness fueling these songs. Then there are songs like "Handle With Care", "Wedding Tux", "Speedin' Bullet 2 Heaven" and "Trauma" Which are all beautiful and calming but all while still having these incredibly somber and sad lyrics accompanying it.

But with all that being said, This is still not a GOOD record. Although I love a handful of songs here and the atmosphere that surrounds this album. There are songs and decisions that DRASTICALLY Lower the rating I'm going to give it. First and foremost, The beavis and butthead skits RUIN "Adventures" and "Handle With Care". I actually ended up cutting the skits out manually just so I could add those songs to playlists without needing to skip everytime beavis and butthead come along. There are also a handful of songs which I just outright think SUCK. "Screwed", "The Nothing", "Séance Chaos" and "Red Sabbath". "Screwed" Goes on for way to long without ever starting, It's just this repetetive song with this awful guitar loop. The only redeeming quality of this song is the "Ayooo" from Cudi but that's literally it. "The Nothing" is a horrible and boring song which starts with kid Cudi just PLEADING for some candy. The song is the worst kind of song. The vocals are this slow arpeggio going up and down and basically nothing happening for 3 minutes. "Séance Chaos" Had a really nice start and when I forgot how this song went I actually got excited hearing the beginning but as it went on I came to realize that it did not hold up. "Red Sabbath" is an incredibly mediocre track with almost 2 WHOLE MINUTES of no music, Just a weird distorted noise and then a horrible beavis and butthead skit about "Flexing" on people.

With all that being said. I have somehow fallen in love with this album even with it's worst flaws. I love the world this album creates and there are a lot of songs here that have a special place in my heart. But I can't in my right mind give this album a score higher than what I've given it, Which is a
