"Scrapyard I" - Quadeca
The exciting comeback after quadeca's Immaculate masterpiece I Didn't Mean To Haunt You showcases that it was not a fluke but a showcase of how consistently great quadeca has become as an artist. Scrapyard I begins with the groovy, catchy and extremely fun track
"A LA CARTE" with it's wonderfully incorporated guitar and unique beat making up a track you can't help but revisit again and again for it's infectious groove and overall wonderful production. Breakance features on the track and brings a great vocal performance with his iconic deep singing voice. Overall "A LA CARTE" is a GREAT introduction to the scrapyard series and left me excited for everything that would come next.
U DON'T KNOW ME LIKE THAT is a track that I don't really know how to feel about. On one hand it's production is incredible and it feels like quadeca made exactly what he set out to make but on the other, I don't think I like what he was going for. Quadeca's carti like and pitched up vocals aren't necessarily bad by any means but I feel like that alongside the instrumental that didn't do much for me left me feeling kind of meh about the whole thing. I love elements of the track though like the piano and the melodies are beautiful, and especially the bridge is really pretty with the piano and the hint of stringed instruments made for a nice moment. Overall though the track is not one I'm going to come back to that often.
so on one hand we have a track that's become my most listened to song this month and on the other we have a mediocre track I'm not crazy about which leaves my rating of SCRAPYARD I as a
