"Sam Is Offline_ - samlrc

The best instrumental LP I've ever heard.

Sam Is Offline_ is an instrumental, Experimental, breakore / glitchcore dealing with themes of trauma, loneliness, depressions and suicide. The album has this crazy variety to it with each song having multiple chapters and sometimes even switching from different soundscapes mid-song.

The album begins with the song "I Must Get Out", This moody piano plays as we hear people arguing. The song is cased in reverb and it's dark until suddenly this bright synth kicks in and it turns into this crunchy and distorted beat, transitioning us to the next song "Music 》Internet". The song goes from this incredibly punchy and distorted beat to drum and bass to a eurobeat and THEN it turns into the most low quality beat ever (Not as in bad, as in literally like 16 bits). Due to how muffled the low quality beat is it just makes it hit even harder when the next chapter begins and it's so clear. Then we have the song "Mental Breakcore". It sounds like a chase sequence in the future that eventually gets more and more intense as it goes on. In the middle it gets more distorted than ever and I love it. Then there's the song "Post-Sadness" It's a lot more melancholic then we've heard before until in the middle this distorted guitar starts playing and then stops, It's for the most part this very cinematic and sad track with piano and strings but then we have my favorite track off of this album. "Song for []" is this really upbeat and fast paced song and I fell in love with it upon first listen. The beat goes absolutely hard and it keeps getting harder and harder with all these different chapters which makes it even better, especially near the middle when this crazy bass kicks in and with the fast paced beat it's just an absolutely amazing track.

The album has a big sound switch with the song "Hug" which is this really nice acoustic track. Then there's the song "Sick" which I really like. especially the guitar near the end. It makes for a really pleasant listen. The song "Black Cat" has an 8-bit feel to it and funnely enough while listening to this song MY cat jumped onto my lap and I was petting her as the song was playing. The song itself is great and I especially love the vocaloid vocals near the later half but then we get to the song "Sam's Mind". The song is intense, it's scary, it sounds like rage, it sounds like torture, the distorted drums and the screaming make this song disturbing but this nice arpeggio acts like little break from the horror that is the main song but then it goes right back to being intense. But then we have the last song "Livin' 》Suicide Note" an intense breakcore song but near the end it switches to this cinematic, and voice recording of a woman talking about attempting suicide plays. This is a great ending to the album and as a whole I think this album doesn't have any flaws.

The amount of time and care that this album was given, with all of it's different chapters in each song and I haven't mentioned it yet but the VISUAL album that comes with it is amazing. The amount of work that must have been put on making this album AND creating a music video for every single song, it's amazing and this album is amazing. Samlrc is one of the most talented and underrated artists I've had the pleasure of talking to and I hope they get the attention they deserve soon. I'm giving Sam Is Offline_ a
